Ladino Forever uses as few cookies as possible.
Cookies we set
- ladino-forever-session: keeps you signed in and remembers the forms you are filling in. It expires after two hours without activity.
- XSRF-TOKEN: protects the forms on the site against misuse.
- remember_web_…: set only when you tick "Remember me", so you stay signed in on this device.
- lf_voter: a random number set when you press like or dislike on a story or song, so you can vote only once and change your vote. It lasts five years and says nothing about who you are.
Stored in your browser
The language you choose in the menu is saved in your browser's local storage, so the site opens in that language next time. It never leaves your device.
Other sites
Videos are shown with YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set its own cookies when you press play. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Your choice
When you first visit, a notice asks which cookies you allow. Until you choose, Google Analytics and Google AdSense set no cookies and ads are not personalised (Google Consent Mode). You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
- Necessary: the cookies above. They are always on, because the site cannot work without them.
- Analytics: Google Analytics counts which pages are read and from which country, without telling us who you are.
- Advertising: Google AdSense may show ads that match your interests. Without it, ads are still shown but are not personalised.
Your choice is kept in your browser for six months, then the notice asks again.
Notices and the app
If you allow browser notices, your browser remembers it and the site shows you a notice when something new was added since your last visit. If you add Ladino Forever to your home screen, your device keeps copies of the pages you opened, so they can be read without a connection. Both stay on your device; you can turn them off in your browser's settings.
